Our trip to Maui began with a little gift. When we booked our flight with Mokulele Airlines we expected a normal airplane that would take us to the other island. Little did we know that our plane would actually be a small 9 passenger Cessna plane. What followed was one of the best experiences in our lives. After California our next destinations were the Paradisiac Islands of Hawaii. We arrived early in Honolulu but the next day at 6 am we had the next flight to Big Island. Even though there was not that much time to explore, we tried to make the most out of the day and took a bus to the Pearl Harbor Memorial Site. After spending the last week in beautiful nature scenarios, we were very excited to experience some citylife by spending a couple of days in San Francisco. Leaving Yosemite National Park behind we headed towards our final inland destination in California, Lake Tahoe. Because just chilling by the lake is not our thing we had a look at the trails around and found out the parts of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is near Lake Tahoe. The PCT is a 2600 miles trail that leads from the Mexican Border all the way to the state of Washington.
