Our last stop in New Zealand was Christchurch, the biggest city in the South Island. As always, after some weeks camping we really enjoyed a normal bed in our AirBnb. Chilling in South Brighton We arrived on a Friday evening and after the plane and long bus ride we enjoyed being able to just chill in the living room with the rest of our camping food, a bottle of white wine and some Netflix. Well rested from a good night sleep in a proper … [Read more...] about Christchurch

The Fiordland
After our epic road trip along the Southern Scenic Drive, we were ready to enter the Fiordland area. The drive Our first “wow” moment was already driving from the South, as we started to see the mountains in the far back, get closer and closer. After a quick stop at Manapouri Lake, where we had a look at the lake and the scenery around, we then drove on to our campsite by Lake Te Anau. The Queen Charlotte Track we discarded as well because it was too much hassle to get to the track and we would have to spend money on a water taxi or transport by … [Read more...] about Archer Track and the Tennyson Inlet
The Southern Scenic Drive
After our lovely time in Dunedin, we took the advice of a local and made our way down to the Southern Scenic Drive starting with The Catlins. The original plan was to drive over the inland route to Fiordland but sometimes you just have to change plans. We didn't regret it one moment because we felt like being in the real New Zealand, driving through the lush countryside, past thousands of gazing sheeps. Nugget Point Lighthouse The road … [Read more...] about The Southern Scenic Drive
