INSURANCE AND HEALTH
Do not leave home without insurance. We have found a really good affordable insurance with medical cover from our local bank, but if you have a look around there are plenty of options on the market. No matter where you go, we recommend seeing a doctor check that your vaccines are up to date and see if you need any country specific protection for your destination.
Since we are traveling with a lot of electronic equipment we also wanted insurance coverage for these items. However, here the options are very limited especially if you are a resident of Chile because these policies often depend on where you live. Generally, Worldnomads offer a package that includes medical and electronics but for us, it is a bit out of our price range. If you are a US citizen you can also check the Worth Ave Group where you can buy insurance for each device you want to be covered. Since we haven’t found a solution yet we take our most important electronics with us all the time or use safety boxes in our accommodation.

APPS & CONNECTIVITY
However, for our jobs we need a certain level of connection, which is quite difficult because you can’t buy a new sim card in every country and when camping the next wifi spot is not always near.
Skyroam is the perfect solution, enabling you to activate a hotspot with fast internet wherever you are. You only pay 8 USD per 24 hrs when you need internet and connect up to 5 devices
Really nice when on the road.
The app shows you all the available vegetarian restaurant options near you.
Great for travelling and when you are new to a place.
